Grounds Kent Architects have worked with Nigel Armstrong from Patton Building for around 20 years and is our preferred builder for individually designed quality residences. He has tendered on, and won luxury residential projects that we have documented in those years. We have a distinctive style that we like to achieve on all our work and is based to a large extent on our 5-star international resort projects.
We have found him to be knowledgeable and enthusiastic in his approach to construction. His management of the project and treatment of problems or complications is professional. He ingrates himself into the project as a true team member and his contribution to achieving our desired quality is much appreciated.
One specific project where Nigel was the successful tenderer is a residence on the river in Dalkeith. This was based on out Bali style work and incorporated a number of challenges regarding the site, construction methodology and material procurement. The client was very happy with the result and when the time cam e for a new owner to consider alterations and additions, Nigel was including in the tender group. The new owner stipulated that any new work should blend seamlessly into the original house. The work was completed late 2016 and has achieved the desired outcome as far s the client is concerned regarding quality and integration with the original.
